Thick Caramel Sauce
This sauce is perfect for those looking for an extra serve of indulgence on their ice cream or sundaes. Not only is this delicious thick caramel sauce great for the ice cream parlour but it's also delicious drizzled on sliced banana, pancakes or our apple spice cake from The Tea Party Issue. Look away if sugar and fat are not your friends!

Preparation Time 5 minutes
Cooking Time 14 minutes
Makes 1 cup of sauce approximately
Cannot be frozen
- Place sugar (160g), golden syrup (1 Tbsp), butter (100g) and cream (100g) into bowl. Place simmering basket on top to prevent splatters.
- Program 14 minutes / 100C / Speed 4. This will thicken once cooled.
- Allow to cool slightly and pour into sealable jar. Pour over your favourite ice cream.
Note: this will keep in the fridge and in a sealable bottle for two weeks. It will firm up upon sitting so simply warm before serving.
