Tahini Paste
This tahini paste is the best. It looks nothing like the sloppy store bought tahini paste you find, it is cheap as chips to make, it lasts for ages in the fridge and is a great addition to dips (like the Hummus Dip in this issue) and even the Chocolate Caramel Slice. Credit for this recipe goes to Kathy who gave us this idea in a comment at the bottom of a blog post back in 2010. It has been a success for us every time! - Bec

Preparation Time 15 minutes
Serves 1 medium jar of tahini paste
Can be frozen
Ingredients
- sesame seeds - 200g
- sesame oil - 20g, (or more to taste, texture)
Method
- Add the sesame seeds (200g) to the bowl. Program 9 minutes / 100C / Speed 1.
- Blend Speed 10 / 25 seconds.
- Add sesame oil (20g). Combine Speed 9 / 10 seconds.
Note: In a sterilised jar this will last in your fridge for months!
