This is the rice recipe that you use when you have too many other things ‘On-The-Go’. Rice made in the thermo mixer is perfect, some people use their microwave and some people prefer the stove. This is not intended to replace those options, but instead give you another option for when there’s chaos in the kitchen.

- Rinse rice (250g) in the internal steaming basket until the water runs clear.
- Add it to the bowl with boiling water (500g). Program 6 minutes / 110C* / Speed 1.
- Transfer the water and rice mix to an insulated server. Sit for at least 25 minutes while cooking your main meal.
- Put back into internal steaming basket and rinse / drain with hot water until it runs clear. Note: some people prefer not to rinse their rice at the end, which is fine. We just find it a bit too starchy without rinsing.
*If your machine does not go above 100C, set to Steaming Temperature which is usually between 110-115C. Please refer to your user manual for correct information for the appropriate setting for your machine.
